VideoLAN VLC plugin

TERRA 4D comes with a VLC plugin which allows integration of video streams. With that plugin videos from several sources and many video formats can be displayed in TERRA 4D Viewer.

1. Install latest VideoLAN VLC x86 (32 bit) version on the TERRA 4D client
2. TERRA 4D Configurator: create a subsystem plugin device VLC with default settings
3. TERRA 4D Configurator: create a camera of type VLC and assign the media path/URL
4. Examples for media path:
   • Axis: rtsp://root:pass@192.168.214.247/axis-media/media.amp
   • Avigilon: rtsp://root:pass@192.168.214.249/defaultPrimary?streamType=u
   • Hikvision: rtsp://192.168.214.241:554/Streaming/Channels/101?transportmode=unicast&profile=Profile_1

• TERRA 4D does not support the 64-bit version of VLC. Please uninstall the 64-bit version and reinstall the 32-bit version.
• Install VLC to the default path; if it's installed to a custom directory, TERRA 4D might not be able to find and use it.
• The streaming path can always be tested in VLC player itself: menu Media/Open Network Stream…
  
• The plugin is also useful to connect to webcam URLs.
