Trimble Sketchup is an easy to use 3D modelling software. A very efficient tool to create building models or avatar symbols which can be exported from sketchup directly into ive-file format which can be used in TERRA 4D.

1. Download the Sketchup version 2017, 64bit and install it.
2. Download the SketchupToOpenSceneGraph extension from our ftp server or ask your contact person to send the extension.
3. Open SketchUp and select Menu “Window/Extension Manager”
4. In the Extension Manager Window press “Install Extension” on the bottom
5. Select the extension file “sketchupToOpenSceneGraph-v1.6.4-su2017-win.rbz” and click open
6. The extension “Export to OpenSceneGraph (via COLLADA)” should appear in the list; make sure the extension is enabled.

Now you can export to IVE file format via menu “File/Export to OpenSceneGraph”. Select either “Export entire document to IVE…” or “Export selection to IVE…”. Use the default settings in the export dialog.

On some systems run-time libraries are missing. In this case you get an error message when exporting to OpenSceneGraph. To solve it please contact us to get the suitable Visual C++ redistributables (“vcredist_x86.exe”) and install it.
